The review into #Wolston Park Mental Hospital was released on 19 December 2025, the Friday before Christmas.

A total of 65 former patients and their relatives provided testimony to Professor Robert Bland, who led the inquiry. I gave testimony about the abuse my brother Randall suffered over 16 months during his incarceration in Wolston Park. While the review has gone some way toward healing my trauma, I’m still waiting for justice for my brother Randall.

The damning report paints a picture of systemic violence and abuse of patients, including rape, and impunity for the perpetrators. The systemic nature of the atrocities at Wolston Park Mental Hospital has been largely hidden until now.

Former patients and their relatives have had their voices heard, but are still waiting for justice and an apology. I’m asking my followers to please sign the e-petition calling for an apology.
